The board of the Kokoda Track Foundation extends its sincere congratulations to our Patron, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as he concludes his term as our nation’s Governor-General.
He and Mrs Jeffery have touched many thousands of Australians as they carried out their duties with warmth, dignity and compassion.
We at the Kokoda Track Foundation are particularly grateful and proud to have Major-General Mike Jeffery as our Patron.
We appreciate his time and his personal generosity in supporting our organisation, its aims and its projects.
His presence at this year’s Ralph Honner Oration Dinner (pictured above with Veteran, Wally Moras) was a highlight, and his love of Papua New Guinea and its people was evident in his heartfelt speech.
We have written to His Excellency saying that we would be delighted if he would consider continuing as our Patron.
