Adopt An Angel

In 2010, the Kokoda Track Foundation is sponsoring over 150 students to attend primary and secondary school in PNG. We can’t do this without the generous and ongoing support of our donors.

In 2010 it will cost the Foundation $300 per year to support a primary aged student to go to school and $1,000 per year to support a secondary student.

Students come from 6 secondary schools and 8 primary schools in the Kokoda Track catchment area. We have strong partnerships with the schools and the students’ scholarship includes tuition fees, boarding, food, uniforms, and school resources. Our scholarship students are selected on the basis of family need, gender equality, effort, and achievement and many of our scholarship graduates have gone on to gain entry into university.

It is now possible for our supporters to Adopt an Angel and give a child an education who otherwise would not have an opportunity to go to school. Our Adopt an Angel program allows you to provide ongoing financial support for a child to attend school over the course of their education.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child over the course of their entire education,
please contact our executive director, Gen Nelson. We have one-on-one sponsorship arrangements where you can communicate with your child and their school and ensure they are supported for their whole education.
